Tillamook is a dairy co-op, owned by real farmers in Tillamook, Oregon, that has been making award-winning dairy products for over a hundred years.
We partnered with Tillamook to create a website that does justice to their premium products, and reflects their dedication to Dairy Done Right. Our strategy around “Real People, Real Place, Real Food” introduces Tillamook’s connection to the farmer families, the land, and the ingredients behind their beloved products.
To make the website as easy and fun to consume as their cheese and ice cream, we created content modules to host a wide range of content—a story about Tillamook farmers, a featured yogurt, a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich recipe, or 360° panoramas. The modular design enables a flexible, responsive site that serves up relevant information at different moments, pulling users deeper into the areas that interest them.
To make Tillamook’s content as relevant as possible to anyone visiting the website, we developed a contextual engine to serve up different elements depending on the day, time and location—featuring a product that’s available in a specific region, a holiday recipe that’s perfect for the season, or an upcoming giveaway in a particular city.
From Patty Melt Mac and Cheese to Spicy Loaded Nachos—we filmed original recipes on Phantom ultra slow motion cameras at 1,500 frames per second to capture the bigger, melty-er, and tastier shreds. Users could share recipes via text directly from our site when asked “what’s for dinner?”
Because Tillamook is known for cultivating devoted fans, we created something just for them. Clicking a tiny heart in the upper right hand corner of any page toggles into “Superfan Mode” and takes fans into an entirely new world. The hub features a fan documentary, fan spotlights, next-level rewards like secret menu items, Ask a Farmer, and access to exclusive events.
